There Here!

This is late I know but I have a great excuse: I have been extremely busy and tired! We waited four years for our little miracles and now there here. I can't believe it. They were born on April 12th. A wonderful Easter present. Our little man was born at 2:42 a.m. weighing 6lbs 2oz and 20 inches long. Logan was able to deliver him. Our little girl was born at 2:46 a.m. weighing 5lbs 13oz and 18.5 inches long. We named our little man Jonas Logan and our little girl Téa Layelle. I had a successful vaginal delivery. It was an amazing experience. I am enjoying being a mom of twins! Austin, Kylie, Chandler, Laurynn and Macie are amazing brothers and sisters. I have the best children ever!!!!!

What a Man!!!!

I just wanted to share with everyone how hard my husband Logan has been working on our garden. He works on it everyday. He has done so much research and has learned a great deal about growing vegetables and fruits. When he gets home from work in the morning (he works graveyard) he checks on his plants that he has planted in his peat pods, waters them and puts them outside for the day. He is trying to get them ready to plant. On his days off, he has been preparing the ground, building his planters, putting up fencing, etc. On Monday, he worked in the garden from 8 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. He was turning the dirt, bought more dirt and dumped into the planters, planted his corn. I am so impressed with his hard work and dedication. I can't wait until our vegetables are ready to eat. I am so grateful for a wonderful husband who loves to provide for his family and make sure we are well taken care of. I am so blessed. I love you Logan!

Guess who we met?

Adam Carolla!!! Logan and I went to Hollywood to celebrate our four year anniversary. We stayed with a wonderful friend Bryce. For those who don't know Adam Carolla, he does talk radio, he performed on Dancing with the Stars and he played in the movie The Hammer(and many other things). Well, CBS radio decided to cancel Adam Carolla's radio show as well as other talk radio host. They told Adam Carolla on Thursday, Feb.19th that they were cancelling the show and that tomorrow, Friday Feb. 20th, would be his last radio show. So, Bryce and Logan wanted to go to CBS radio station and see if we could say good bye to Adam Carolla after his last show. We got there at 10 a.m. We walked in to this huge building and were greeted by security. They were very nice and told us to go to the second floor. On the second floor, there were about 2o people(fans) in the lobby. They were waiting for another talk radio show host to come out and say good bye(he was let go too). We were the only ones there for Adam Carolla. The employees didn't seem to know where Adam was. The secretary was very nice and was trying very hard to find someone to help us out. An employee was able to find Adam and let him know he had three fans waiting for him and that we had come all the way from Fresno to see him. That's all it took and Adam was on his way out to greet us. He was so laid back and friendly. I was able to take pictures of Logan, Bryce and Adam talking, I even got a little video. Warning: Adam uses some bad language. This event alone made our trip worth it! A big thanks to Bryce for taking us and making it possible for us to meet him. Without Bryce, we wouldn't of met him. He sure knows how to make things happen.

Right in my backyard!

Tour of California(the bicyclist tour with Lance Armstrong) came right threw my side of
town. The bicyclist came down Clovis Ave. We live right behind Clovis Ave and Sierra Ave. I knew about this tour for a little while but had no plans to go, even though it was a 3 minute walk from my house. So,  yesterday, my Mom and I decided "why not" let's take the kids and see what this is all about. The kids got home from school early and we had them do their homework and off we went around 2:30. We stood on the corner of Clovis and Sierra Ave. There were so many police officers and support vehicles and camera crew on motorcycles going by for about an hour. Then at 3:55 p.m. here comes lots of police officers and camera crew, then to be followed by the bikers, yah!!! They were going so fast. They said they were going at least 30 mph. WOW! They whipped by us so fast. After they passed us, we then turned around, as well as the crowd and run(except for me) to the street behind us(Sierra/Pollasky) where they would be coming around the corner to finish off the race. We barely made it and saw them again. They sure whip around those corners so fast, it is amazing that they don't eat it. The finish line ended in old town Clovis. We didn't get to see them cross the finish line, being that it was about a quarter of a mile down from where we were standing. I am so glad I went with my Mom and kids after all. It was an awesome experience. And to have it all happen all in my backyard. Here are some pictures. Click on pictures to enlarge them. You can see it better. I also attached a picture of me at 30 weeks. Kristal, do you notice I am wearing another shirt of yours?

The twins nursery

Okay, I know it's been awhile since my last post but for good reasons. We have been busy getting things done around our house before the twins arrive. One of the biggest projects we have been working on is the nursery. It is about 80% done. We still have to sand a dresser and paint it and hang curtains. I have to say how excited my children are and how helpful they have been in getting the nursery done. Logan and Austin put together the first crib and then Logan and Chandler put together the second crib. Kylie, Laurynn and Macie put the crib bedding on both cribs.
Yesterday, our friends Marianne and Todd came over to help with the nursery. Todd is an excellent artist. He free handed everything he drew on the babies walls. He also put up the chair rail. He even fixed our trim the goes around the cabinets on the floor. He worked from 12:30 until 10:30 p.m. I felt so bad but he was such a great sport. He did a fabulous job and I am 100% happy with the way it turned out. I am so grateful for what he did for us and the time and effort he spent working on everything. So a big THANK YOU to Todd and to his beautiful patient wife who kept me company all day long:) I had a wonderful day with them.
I am 29 weeks today!! I can't believe how fast this is going. I saw my OB last week and the babies are doing fabulous. Our baby girl weighs around 2 lbs and 11 oz and our baby boy weighs around 2 lbs and 8 oz. I have gained a total of 26 pounds. I am feeling pretty good still but I am sure that will change here in a few weeks. I hope you all enjoy the pictures. The picture of me, I am 28 weeks pregnant. Love to hear your comments.

How far we've come

  • Look how far we've come. After three and a half years of trying to get pregnant, I am now 25 weeks pregnant with girl/boy twins. Yah!!! Here is a recap: This is me and the kids when I came home from the hospital after retrieving the eggs from me. Then they made a sign for me on the dry erase board. Then a picture of me at 14 weeks, 18 weeks, 22 weeks and 25 weeks pregnant.

A mind of her own

My daughter Macie definitely has a mind of her own. Since she was a toddler, I let her dress herself. When she started kindergarten, I would drop her off at school and whisper to the teacher,"Macie dressed herself this morning and did her own hair". Macie would mix and match outfits, shorts with long sleeve shirts or lots of laying of the shirts. One time, she wore her pajama top (which was kind of like a short dress) and then layered it with other shirts. I think she had on like 3-4 shirts and it was a warm day.
So, the other day, I found Macie dressed up in her cheerleading skirt, with a top that didn't match
knee high socks and her hair in pig tails. My Mom, was taking the kids to the park and this is how she went. I am glad she is very confident in herself. Then later that night, she got dressed up in her robe, backpack and she put makeup on herself. Under her robe was her recital dress. Macie is very creative. I am curious what she will be when she grows up.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.
